Spring Meets Autumn

You told me I should be this, I should be that

And you forgot that is who I am not.
You made me believe change is what I need
But you would not accept me when I did.

I was red and my leaves, green

But your gray skies took what I had been.
I was pink, I was purple;
You're blue that spell trouble.

You said the sky is where we stood

But all you brought with you is solitude.
I was summer, I was spring.
But you were autumn; to winter you were heading.

You introduced me to rope and chain;

You made me befriend tears and pain.
Now don't tell me you don't know your bed,
Welcome to the land of the living... maybe the dead!

Here's another poem I posted on my Wattpad account. :) A song actually triggered this idea. You guessed it right! Colors by Halsey. Here it is.

Hold Me while I Say Good-Bye

This is probably the last time you would see me
With my eyes closed and my breaking heart
I won’t be blocking your way from here on
I just want you to hold me while I say good-bye.

This is probably the last time you would hear my voice
With my eyes closed and my breaking heart
I won’t be calling you or asking how you were
I just want you to hold me while I say good-bye.

This is probably the last time I will smell your cologne
With my eyes closed and my breaking heart
I won’t be holding your hand or hug you when it is cold
I just want you to hold me while I say good-bye.

This is probable the last time you would see me cry
With my eyes closed and my breaking heart
I won’t be wiping your tears whenever we fight
I just want you to hold me while I say good-bye.

This is probably the last time you would hear me say ‘I love you’
With my eyes closed and my breaking heart
I won’t be pinching your cheeks and leaning on your shoulders
I just want you to hold me while I say good-bye.

I have written lots of sad poems in the past, and this poem is one of the poems that reflect melancholy. However, this one is my favorite.

Since I started writing in Wattpad last August 2015, I have posted a handful of heart-wrenching poems. I guess my fondness of writing such rooted from the fact that all people feel so low at some points. We all know the feeling of being hurt. We all know the pain and the tears.

Soon, I will post a happy poem here. Haha! Why? Because I enjoy the torture. Just kidding!

Since

It was under the mango tree
Where I first saw the beauty of thee;
You sat there and, with eyes closed, you sang
It was all witchery while your voice, in the park, rang.

I needed to know your name,
I ached to give you the upper hand in the game.
I wanted to run and ask how you did
Melt all my barriers and get me acting like a kid.

After all these years, I still go back
To the same place and trace the track
Where your magnificence bought my sanity
And your love held my heart in willing captivity.

You showed me the magic of music
Made by two hearts beating together in acoustic.
You are the violin, I am the piano
Together, we are the perfect combo.

It was always the smile in your eyes
And the love that never lies
That made you and I a harmony
And would surely transcend immortality.

Sometimes, I ask myself where do I get these themes and words for my poems. So when people ask me how do I come up with such poems, I can't answer. I tell them cliches such as, "write from the heart," "let it flow," or "let your mind speak." Now, I think these poems are really from people's stories and experiences. When your reader say that you touch their lives, they tell you stories. And these stories are fueled by emotions. These emotions become your inspiration and your reason for writing.

Your Eyes

If I would have just one part of you apart from your heart, it would be your eyes;
Your eyes that look at me with all the love and passion you have,
Your eyes that so adoringly stare at me,
Your eyes that reflect joy and exuberance,
Your eyes that exemplify mystery and fantasy,
Your eyes that project honesty and faith,
Your eyes that respect and honor me,
Your eyes that suggest anger and jealousy,
Your eyes that keep secrets and reveal reality all at the same time,
Your eyes that could see through my soul,

Your eyes that could transport me to another world: the world where only we exist.

I think it is time to let you know that I love Lauren Jauregui's eyes. Lol. Look into her eyes and you'll know why. :)

The poem is a different story. I wrote this while looking at the sun as it starts to say hi to the world. It was a beautiful sight! It always is. Honestly, I love looking at the moon, the sunrise, the sunset, and the stars; they hypnotize me. Lol

Would You?

When eyes can’t see the truth,
Would you let your heart feel what’s real?

When the pain starts to creep,
Would you let your promises trip?

When the world falls to pieces,
Would you mend it with a thousand kisses?

And when forever met its death,

Would you fight against fate?

I found this poem written in the notebook given to me four years ago. I don't remember the story behind the poem. I guess I was a little broken back then. Haha! Pardon the drama.

Seasons and a Love Lost

I met you in spring
When flowers bloom and hearts sing.
I loved you in summer
Thought we'd last forever.
You hated me in fall
Your heart started not to call.
I lost you in winter
Cold as ice when we're together.
Though my heart is now shattered
Sure I'll miss you in cold weather.

By now, I am sure you are wondering why sometimes, the titles differ from what was posted on Wattpad. It is because some of these were posted on my former blog. You see, I have a hard time maintaining accounts so pelase just bear with me. Sit back, relax, and enjoy poetry. Lol

Everywhere

My love for you is everywhere:
In every stare,
In every smile,
In every laughter,
In every hug,
In every kiss,
In every breath I take,
In every day I wake,
In every sound of forever.

I wrote the poem, another product of my being a weirdo, while waiting for the train. I hope you like it. :)
