Falling in Love with a Fictional Character

Someone asked me, “How do you do that
Falling in love with a fictional character?”
I answered, “I can’t explain it further than
I am blessed I understand how her mind works.”

Someone asked me, “How do you do that
Falling in love with someone without a face?”
I answered, “The heart knows what it looks like
Beyond every smiles and crying eyes.”

Someone asked me, “How do you do that
Falling in love with someone without hearing her voice?”
I answered, “The heart knows how her laugh, her wisdom,
Her bravery, and her jealousy sound like.”

Someone asked me, “How do you do that
Falling in love with a heatless product of the mind?”
I answered, “That, I can say, is wrong. For the character I am in love with

Is more realistic than the person you project to be.”

This is one of the poems I posted on my Wattpad account. So far, I have written more than a hundred poems, divided into three collections. The newest collection is a compilation of poems written in Filipino. I write about love, pain, and life in general. I have written a handful about the self.

Say hello to Maria Tachibana from Sakura Wars. She's my first girl crush back in grade school. Haha!
