Music and I

“My eyes adored you,

Though I never laid a hand on you…”

My eyes craved for the sight of you

And for your every move.

“My eyes adored you,

Like a million miles away from me,

You couldn’t see how I adored you…”

And how badly I wanted to cross that distance.

“So close, so close

And yet so far…”

How I longed to be near you without you knowing

And how I miss the sound of your laugh.

You were the song that constantly played in my mind,

And the friend I want to be with all the time.

How my heart hammers inside my chest

Whenever I fought to be calm when you talk to me.

If only you could see right through me

You would know how much you make me shiver

And how I lose all my other senses

Just by looking at you. 

This poem was written because of the song "My Eyes Adored You." Most of the time, songs inspore me to write. Also, the themes of my poems vary depending on my mood and on the songs I listen to. Weird, right? That's just me.
